Roughly around this time last year I discovered an opportunity to study UI Design at Flatiron School. I applied, got accepted and started prepping for what I knew was going to be a difficult couple of months. Come March of 2020 we were all struck with a new reality. Covid-19. I was in Berlin with my wife at the time when Trump closed the borders. It was an interesting time to say the least. I never thought I’d do a design bootcamp, much less during a world pandemic.
With all that to say, 2020 has been a very rough year for me. My wife lost her job, I was in school all day (some 14 hour days), and I lost two grandparents. I worked so hard for 6 months through it all and I am happy to say I finished strong. Thanks to all my classmates and instructors for your patience and support through these past several months.
Now on to a better future. Good luck to all those out there struggling and looking for work! 2021 will be great! I believe in all of you.
